Oh no! Love got in the way this time

One player I was really pinning my hopes to elevate his performance and make a defensive impact for our Philippine Team is Rudy Hatfield. He is quite a burly pest for opposing teams with his game-long defensive pressure and would've been the starting small/power forward for our team. Alas, again luck (or lack of it) would rear its ugly head! Only this time, love is the culprit! Thanks to Mr. Nelson Beltran of Philstar for the scoop. Anyway, congratulations to Rudy and his bride!

Oh, hello ma'am.

As much as I consider myself a big 'play-for-flag' fan, I am an even bigger romantic and 'what-is-truly-essential' type of person. What Rudy did reflects the kind of person that he is. Above everything else, family (and true love) comes first.

Is there a little Rudy or Bethany on the way? Get on with it, please. Wish both of you happiness (and fortitude because weddings can be oh, so nerve-wracking)!

Best.

I truly appreciate a basketball fan looking at different sides to the story. From a fan's point of view I understand that our wedding comes at a inopportune time. From a brides point of view this is our wedding and I already only get to see my fiance once a month. I would be supportive either way I understand what basketball means to the Philippines. None the less, we decided to stick to our plans becuase this is what has gotten us through the past six months we've been apart.

As for a little Rudy on the way. No, not yet. We can't wait though and definitely plan on trying once we're married. Rudy wants enough kids for his own basketball team, so we need to get started asap : )

Again, thanks to you and any other basketball fans that understand the situation.

Don't know you nor Rudy personally but from what I've seen on TV, Rudy's got a 'good' heart and this only proves that you are truly a special person to her. Forget about basketball and worry not about us. we'll do fine and there'll be plenty of other opportunities for Rudy or little Rudies in the future.

Really appreciate the message. I'm honored to have your comments posted here. Next time, please do send us pics if ever there will be babies. Please.

Best.
